General Microscopic Description
KEY feature is the presence of glandular secretions
glands become tortuous with progression of secretions from
basal vacuoles (d 17-18), supranuclear vacuoles (d 19-20),
active intraluminal secretion (d 21-22)
spiral arteries become prominent (d 21-22) and develop
predecidual stromal cuffing (d23-24)
stromal edema develops (d21-22) with subcapsular (d 25) and
full thickness predecidual change (d 26)
leukocytic infiltrate pronounced by d 27-8. Examples:
