• Range in size from 1-2 cms (lower limit of detection by
abdominal imaging) up

General Microscopic Description
• Lining may be neoplasm (if cystic degeneration),
may be endothelial, or may be fibrous stroma in which case termed
pseudocyst
• Some cysts are parasitic
•Examples:
