| Concentric Left Ventricular Hypertrophy
| View of superior surfaces of transverse sections with
the anterior surfaces facing towards the left.
The thickened left ventricular wall is at least 2X thicker
than normal. Right ventricle almost a mere appendage.
Middle and right sections: Note the diffuse endocardial
thin grey discoloration in the middle section, and the
similar focal changes in the right section. This is sub-
endocardial scarring due to, in the absence of coronary
atherosclerosis, relative coronary insufficiency due to
cardiac hypertrophy alone.
