Pathogenesis
• Unknown.
• May be hyperplasia or hamartoma.,

Epidemiology
• May be associated with Gardner's syndrome or familial polyposis of colon.
• Also sporadic
• Identified in adulthood

General Gross Description
• Small mucosal lump (<5 mm) which may be single or multiple.
•Examples:

General Microscopic Description
• One or more dilated glands.
• Lined by normal although compressed epithelium.
•Examples:
|
Clinical Correlation
• Asymptomatic, incidental finding.
• Not associated with progression to malignancy.
