Pathogenesis

Unknown.
May be hyperplasia or hamartoma.,
Epidemiology

May be associated with Gardner's syndrome or familial polyposis of colon.
Also sporadic
Identified in adulthood
General Gross Description

Small mucosal lump (<5 mm) which may be single or multiple.
•Examples:
General Microscopic Description

One or more dilated glands.
Lined by normal although compressed epithelium.

Clinical Correlation

Asymptomatic, incidental finding.
Not associated with progression to malignancy.
