• Due to cross sections of deeply infolded villous contours,

Epidemiology
• Increased in triploid gestations, particularly partial moles.
• May also be increased in aneuploid gestations with other chromsome counts

• Intravillus finding composed of syncytio- and/or cytotrophoblast
• Maternal blood may be contained within the inclusion
